SAY WHAATTTT!!!!!

So at the end of the school year I was in The Childrens Place and came across these pants that were marked down to like $2.00. So I bought them of course for Erich. I figure by the the following Fall (this one coming up) he would fit into them. I put them in his drawer yesterday and this morning he comes running into my room laughing. "Look at how big these are" We were cracking up. Guess we'll wait for a serious growth spurt. You are one funny dude Erich.

On another note, While in Mississippi Mike is driving along, singing a song and gets a call. Don't report to Ft. Sam Houston. Huh? Apparently someone forgot to mention this to Mike. Guess where he is suppose to go? Ft.Detrick........Maryland. About 1 hour north of here. But because someone screwed up, apparently options are being looked into and he may have choice on where he wants to go. Camp Roberts, CA is one? I have never heard of that one. Of course, Ft. Bragg, but the Col at Gordon and a Col at Detrick are the two that one him. So we will see what happens. Of course when he said CA - I thought of Kat and got really excited. I already looked up the drive time - only 4 hours away to Irwin. I told Alex this news this morning and he and I are both sad about San Antonio. We were really looking forward to that PCS. Oh well, maybe next later (a term Erich use to say when he was like one).

I CAN'T WAIT...

"I CAN'T WAIT TO HOLD THAT BABY" I have been listening to Mike say that (and texting me too) since he left on August 3rd.

My Husband is on his way to Ft. Sam Houston in San Antonio - he is gonna check-in, sign up for housing and sign out on leave and fly home for 30 days with us.

No more school!!! Okay, he has like, um, three classes left and he finally has his degree and he did sign up for a class already for that, but that doesn't count cause it isn't Army schooling.

Looking forward to seeing my Husband give all of his attention to our daughter!

I will be there soon Nordstroms!!! All alone again, like it once was - just you and I. Hee Hee!

1st Day Of School (Monday)

Yesterday, was the 1st day for grades 1-5! This is just a few of our gang at our bus stop. And this is Ms. Summer making her bus stop debut. She is a "Retro Babe"
Alex started today. Couldn't take a photo of him cause thats just not normal for middle school. Speaking of normal, Alex's middle school didn't mail schedules. How rude! Remember the fun of calling friends and saying I got so and so for this period. Well, not this year. Who knows why. So on the 1st day, the 8th graders will report to the gym to get their schedules. I told Alex that all those kids packed into the gym is the perfect time for someone to drop a stinkbomb or two. Oh, the stinkbombs. Those were some good memories in high school, that and smoking in between classes and getting caught and giving the administrators the wrong name....hee hee!! Hope you had a good morning Alex!

Are You Ready For Some Football?

Yes, its that time again and look at the size of this kid that our GORC WILDCATS are up against this year! Man, this kid reminds of the "Fridge" from the Bears back in the 80's. Alex receiving the ball....
GO NEWMAN! You & the Wildcats Rock!

This was just a scrimmage this past weekend (w/ refs of course) and we won! Yahoo! Season begins this weekend. 12 noon at home!
GO WILDCATS!

My (New) Favorite Duo ....So Far

I was completely unaware of Rhythmic Gymnastics as an Olympic Sport. Alex the Great, they call her...the ONLY, I repeat the ONLY North American that is in the Olympics for this sport. How proud of her I was to take time out to teach these fine men the sport and the job they did was the best (sorry Phelps).

Need Something From You

Dear OCS Friends,

Can you all email me your current home address and email. I'm trying to get organized in my life. I probably need last names too cause I'm a fruitcake in the head. In fact, add your spouses name. I'm sure I know them, but STILLLLLLL!

If you need my email address, let me know!

********************************

Also, continue to pray for my friend. She has made two appointments to meet with a divorce attorney to help move on and away from her abusive husband and has backed out. We need to continue for her to have strength to go through with this. She has mentioned many times that she is positively terrified that when he gets out of jail he will hunt her down and kill her (and he has tried many times before). So divorcing him is a HUGE step for her. Please pray for her to have strength and to be (and feel) safe! Thanks Gals!!

So week two starts for the Olympics!

Hello Old Friend

So the boys are at my Moms and I decided to open a bottle of wine. Yum, yummy!!!!
Kicking back and watching a great Bio on Greta Garbo. I remember when she died.
soxkceixociwla;fjeia;olkd - I think the wine is kicking in :}

The Dinner Menu

Lucky me and my family. My neighbors in my hood are great. It all starts within a week that I move in and start getting nosey. I make friends pretty darn fast no matter where I live.

A lot of my neighbors wanted to know what I wanted, as a gift for the Baby and I said, really nothing, but I would love to have dinner for me and the boys. And sure enough they came through.

One night, cookout food, grilled chicken, hot dogs, hamburgers, salads, etc. Another night was mexician, then we had a whole chicken from my newlywed neighbors - I'm pretty sure HE, Frank came home from work early to make the bird, he is the cook in the house and lasts night chili was great too from Alex's baseball coaches wife - they live right down the street!

I didn't have to make dinner all week. And that was a best gift anyone could've given me after Summer was born.

Oh yeah! The brownies that were brought to this house were the best I ever had!!
