Christmas Morning

But before the morning there was Christmas Eve and Erich put out cookies, milk and carrots. Please notice that there is a wooden trophy that I won from Erich's Cub Scout Pack for tastiest cookies. I wanted to make sure Santa knew that he was getting the best! Coming down the steps on Christmas morning. Please peek in the mirror! I was cracking up when I saw that photo cause I had no idea Alex was doing that. I'm laughing again looking at it and typing this.

I know the piles or Alex's pile looks small but with Alex its quality not quantity as with Erich is quantity not quality - you dig? Alex got the Wii Guitar Hero Band Kit and I love singing with it!! He got a new ipod that plays movies, Under Armour shoes, a book and a goalie mask. Erich got, army soliders, Ben 10 crap, Scooby-Doo, the Mystery Machine and the whole gang and some Bakugon stuff and a new Ninentdo DS (pokemon version) since Alex's very old one doesn't work that well anymore.

This is Summer with her doll, named, Big Baby. Her eyes blink and Summer loves her.

Dear Ty, I have your Santa Baby right here. As soon as I saw your Santa outfit, I ran to Kohl's (which I love) and got the Mrs. Claus outfit. Summer also got her very first Madame Alexander Doll from FAO Schwartz. Hers is Snow White. I still have mine from when I was a tiny one. My Snow White is big and they don't make them like that anymore.

Our Christmas was great! And so was our Fesitvus!

Well, first let me start off with this cutie pie! I just love my little Summer-lovin. So, me, Erich & Summer went to have pizza with Santa with my best buds, Debi and Leslie and their kids, Jason and Jaimee. Below is Erich giving his very long list to Santa.
And here is a photo of the next three amigos! Jason, Erich and Jaimee. Of course I thought of you Robin with Erich's silly face!

Catch-Up

Not much going on around here. Summer is still not sleeping through the night. Football is over and sadly, Alex's team lost the county championship. BTW, that was the last time Alex will play for the GORC Wildcats Football. Nexted up is Arundel High Wildcats! Scouts is not at all what I thought it would be. Its very disorganized and the kids in it are total brats. Thankfully, Erich says he wants to do tackle football next season and even better, Alex's coach will be moving down to the 65lbs and be Erich's coach. BTW, thats my brother!! So that should get us out of scouts. Alex is currently playing ice hockey for two different teams in two different towns for two different levels. One is Rec and one is Travel. Basically, Rec is anyone that wants to play can and Travel you have to try out and make the team. We are enjoying both. Alex is also heading over to the High School Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 3-4pm to weight train w/ the High School Lacrosse players. Eventhough he doesn't go out for the team until the 2010 school season (when he is a freshman) he is getting his foot in the door plus the football coaches have already been over to look at the kids. Its pretty brutal, loads of running. So this is Alex's new winter schedule, Tue, Wed, Thurs after school - practice at Arundel. Tues & Thurs Travel hockey practice 8.30-9.30pm, Weds Rec hockey practice 7-8pm and then at least 2 to 3 games per weekend. We are gonna do a couple of tournaments between the two teams. One is Crabtown held here in Maryland and another during MLK weekend in Maryland as well. Then there is one at Lake Placid, NY and one in Scranton, PA - that one I'm excited about cause my younger brother's in-laws are from there and we will see them for sure. Plus my sister-in-law's sister had a baby a few weeks after Summer and I want to see her.

So the house is a mess and I had the carpets steamed cleaned, laundry needs to be done everyday and I'm getting the feeling that Summer may be sick. So I'm gonna go for now and call NiteTime Pedatrics and see if I can get her in tonight. Perhaps I will post some photos tomorrow.

Also Kat, I just finally caught up on your blog and I'm wondering if you hit 200 post, does that mean I hit 200 comments?

And Lisa - Sure was thinking alot about you today. I'll email you soon and I love your doo!

Finally Robin - I'm so proud of what you did for those that needed help. Volunteering has always been something I have always enjoyed and I missed alot since having Summer. I know the stress it brings and Benning is lucky they had you.

Happenings Around This House

So this weekend, can't remember which day cause the Thanksgiving Holiday, but first, Erich recieved a great gift from my very dear friend Elke who lives in Germany and who is German. Her father built this gift for Elke's stepson, but he is all grown up and Elke gave it to us and we will love and cherish FOREVER!! Elke's Dad is such a wonderful Opa! I really miss them and wish they were around or I should say I lived near them (Oma und Opa) so they could've seen Erich growing and help me out with him and Summer! It makes me sad that they don't know these two and that Erich and Summer don't know them. Elke's parents are such wonderful people and I will post later about their childhood during WWII. So below is a picture of the boys opening the gift and Alex remembered it from when he was 5 & 6 years old!
In the evening I was cleaning the bathroom upstairs and when I finished I opened the bathroom door and looked in my bedroom to discover Roxy in this postion....
I preceeded downstairs to find Erich in this position.....

And then of course had to snap a photo of Summer looking like this...

By the way, Ms. Piggy here, is weighing in at 15lbs today! As your Dad said to you once you are PHAT!!!
